The craftsman is high-tech

A new variation of flexibility in the design of the shape seemingly static, but mobile command, depicting what is the exchange of roles between designer and user. The intention is to model the object in accordance with the user’s needs and the feelings it arouses.

SHAPE! is communication and overlap between different languages which dominate everyday life: design, crafts, electronics, technology innovation. Achieved by means of seventy-two small platforms, eachpositioned at the top of as many linear actuators that are controlled bya software user-friendly, give rise to many different configurationsseduta. SHAPE! is not only a customized product design, but a real installation with an unquestionable craftsmanship andtechnological characterization.

This is a new design concept created by Claudio Tognacca with thecollaboration of Catherine and Matthew Caprotti Marazzi, promotedthanks to the intervention of AREA 35 space that explores andpromotes new ideas of thought of the contemporary feeling. SHAPE! will be exposed at Audiovisiva Festival dedicated to the exploration of contemporary forms expression applied to music and image.

She’s studied fashion design at the IED in Milan. After some years of apprenticeship in various design offices, she wanted to have a personal project: LAUNDRY was born in this way.

A morning^day outfit choosen by Monia Salvini. It consists in a yellow linen chemisier with a belt. It was a dress, but she’s thought to sew the skirt, transforming it into a pair of shorts.

This outfit, is for the afternoon, perfect to go out and have funny time with friends, eating a pastel ice-cream. Monia recommend to wear a light green shirt, embroidered a^jour, created with a TERITAL fabric that doesn’t need to be stretched. These beautiful fucsia trousers, are in linen, but not 100% and are tailored in an old, great way.

It’s a ’80s jersey printed cotton dress and Monia told us that this outfit is for the evening. The perfect accessorize to personalize the dress, could be a turban.
